Mitten & Hat Event: Minnesota Orchestra
Let your mitten and hat creations take you to a concert. The Minnesota Orchestra is celebrating our Nordic heritage and knitting is one of those skills that has been passed down through the ages. They are partnering with the Hats & Mittens organization to keep kids warm this winter, bring a pair of mittens or a set of hat and mittens and receive free admission to the concert that evening.
There will be a marketplace featuring our favorite Ingerbretsen’s and other vendors there to share their heritage items. Stop by from 4 to 8 pm and enjoy the festivities and atrium concerts that will happen. The day will include cozy fires, crafted cocktails, and the gentle hum of anticipation illuminate winter nights at Orchestra Hall — where your Nordic musical journey begins. Be moved by music shaped by solitude, long darkness, quiet landscapes and stillness, performed by your Minnesota Orchestra, featuring Music Director Thomas Søndergård and guest artists.
After growing up in the city and suburbs, the owners of Get Bentz Farm felt a need to be closer to nature and to be more connected to where their food came from.
