This month we are featuring Yarn Tales 1 in Anoka. Visit them in the store Wednesday to Saturday 9 am to 5 pm or online at yarntales1.com
Shop owner Kim has been knitting off and on since her grandmother taught her when she was 7. In 2023 she was awarded the Craft Yarn Council’s Certified Knitting Instructor and Certified Knitting Teacher Certificates. The shop also has many volunteers that you will get to know Kathryn, Gretchen, Katie, Vonne, Nancy, Linda, and Leslie. They make shop samples and help out at events such as Yarnover and City of Anoka events.
This shop specializes in plant-based fibers such as cotton, hemp, linen, and bamboo. They also carry synthetic yarns and have a separate room that has a selection of alpaca, silk, wool, and other animal based fibers. There are several organic and recycled yarns as well. Plus they have a sale area of discontinued yarns that are offered at 40% off on a year round basis.
The shop offers a generous 10% discount to Guild members. Just mention you are a member at checkout.
