An Evening with Gaye Glasspie (GGMadeIt)
Meet Gaye Glasspie the knitter, the bloggess, the champion for all that’s good in the world. GG is an inspiration to
thousands, sharing her love of the craft, bringing heart to our industry, championing for racial justice, and always on
point with her insightful commentary.
Orange evangelist, thought leader, and social justice advocate, Gaye “GG” Glasspie has become a beloved star of
the fiber community through her open-hearted social media posts about how knitting transformed her life.
Her work has attracted the attention of the yarn industry, catapulting her into a role as an important influencer for
some of the most dynamic companies in the fiber industry. Knitters and crocheters look to GG for how she connects
handwork to life lessons.
Before Gaye’s talk, we will have a trunk show at 6:30pm with Crux Fibres.
Brittany of Crux Fibres was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon where the population of Moose outnumber the people. She lives in a remote wilderness that inspires her each day. Crux Fibres is approaching 5 years old and it has come a long way. She focuses on untreated yarns and fibres, sourcing within Canada as best she can. Low Mileage Wool is her custom spun single flock yarn and is what she is most proud of. Ask her about why the Yukon doesn’t have fibre farming. She can’t wait to tell you more about her passions and what what she loves working on.
