All of the patterns were designed to use our 2017 Great Guild Getaway Yarn, North Shore Winter, which was custom dyed by Three Irish Girls. We will have a limited quantity of the yarn available for sale at the Guild table at Yarnover.

The Minnesota Knitters' Guild's biggest event of the year, Yarnover, is just over a month away!
While they are starting to fill up, there are still spots available in some amazing classes taught by some wonderful teachers. If you are considering taking a class, make sure to register before they sellout! You can see the full list of classes on the Yarnover page. (An up-to-date list of which classes are closed or almost full is on the blog.)
If you can't make it to a class, the free marketplace is open to the public Saturday, April 22nd between 8:00am - 5:30pm. Over forty vendors will have lots of yarn, patterns and other goodies to tempt you.
We are very excited by our new location this year, the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest in Brooklyn Park, MN. It's a great place to come learn a new skill, shop, and spend time with other knitters.
Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. We have sold out all the tickets we had for our section.
On Sunday, May 7th, join the Minnesota Knitters' Guild for an afternoon of baseball and knitting! The Twins will be taking on the Boston Red Sox at Target Field at 1:10pm. Tickets are on sale here.
MKG has 40 tickets in the Great Clips section, this section is on the main level in right field. All the seats are stools with backs and have a small table (drink rail) in front of them. If it gets too chilly (it is early May after all), there are heat lamps to the back of the section.
How much: Tickets cost $38.00. Each ticket is loaded with $10 worth of credit that can be used to buy food and drinks at the game. You can purchase with Paypal or credit/debit card.
Who: Guild members are welcome to bring non-Guild members with them.
What to bring: Weather appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and your knitting, of course!
Deadline: Tickets are on sale through Monday, April 3rd. Buy tickets here.
Refunds: Refunds are not available. If you find you can't make it, you can give the ticket to someone else.
The MN Twins require we sell at least 25 tickets by April 3rd in-order to get the group rate and section. If we do not reach this amount by the deadline this event will be cancelled and everyone will be refunded.
Tickets: We will have actual physical Twins tickets. You will be contacted about delivery of those tickets closer to the date.
By the way, the Twins are giving away tote bags to the first 5,000 fans that day.
The Guild currently has a few volunteer opportunities. Have a great day out and help promote the Minnesota Knitters' Guild. Volunteers are what make the Guild work!
4/7 - 4/9/17 - American Craft Council Show - St. Paul River Centre - The Textile Center hosts the Let’s Make Booth and is looking for people for a couple of different shifts. You can sign up here. This event was really fun last year and volunteering includes free admission to the show.
4/22/17 - Yarnover - There are lots of opportunities at Yarnover. You can read descriptions of the different spots available on our Yarnover thread in Ravelry. Help make the Guild’s event the best it can be!
5/13 - 5/14/17 - Shepherd’s Harvest - Washington County Fairgrounds - Share information about the Guild with attendees. We need volunteers on Saturday from 3:30 - 5:00pm and on Sunday from 10:00am - 12:30pm or 2:00 - 4:00pm.
Email Susanna at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to sign up for Yarnover or Shepherd's Harvest shifts or just have questions about volunteering.
Updated 3/14/17 -- lodging info, etc. was sent via email on Sunday. Please check the email associated with your PayPal account (including junk/promotions folders) for more!
Registration for the Great Guild Getaway is now open to everyone. You can find all the details and buy tickets here. Deadline is March 3, 2017. You do not need to be a Guild member to attend.

Add-on activities and extras include a Thursday night stay, dyeing classes with Three Irish Girls, massages, a St. Patrick’s Day Irish themed yarn tasting, and a beer tasting.
There is also now a day pass available if you just want to come on Saturday and not spend the night.
You'll find all the details and costs in the registration email.
If you tried to get a room at the Marriot over the weekend and found all the group rate ones sold out, we are happy to say that the Marriot now has more rooms at our rate. Book now as we can't guarantee they won't sellout.
If you are planning on arriving on Wednesday or staying over on Sunday night, please email Shelley at email@example.com. She can help you get the group rate for the extra days as well.
